All physicians will say that a half hour of daily exercise is necessary. But is your daily exercise regimen benefiting you? Walks are fine and might help burn off the calories from dinner and maybe even work as a cardio, but if you really want to lose the excess weight it might be time to up the ante. Jogging is a good start to starting an exercise program but you should expand your exercise program to include other workouts. One of the best ways to lose weight is to lift weights, swim, and work on your midsection by doing sit ups.

It is often a misconception that by reducing how much food you eat in a major way, that it will equal a big loss in fat as well. The answer is yes to some situations and no to others. Low calorie diets that are extreme will eventually shed the pounds, but the weight isn’t likely to stay off, when you keep going from under eating dangerously, to eating normally. The better choice is to eat as much as a normal person would, but with healthier options. Take out the carbs, put in salads. Still make chicken for dinner but try to avoid drenching it in sauce that is high in fat content. A proper diet will make you look and feel better rather quickly.

You don’t have to stop being healthy, just because you are just sitting around. Use a balance ball to keep even your sitting time healthy. Use wrist weights while cooking. Although you will not notice the change in weight, burning those additional calories can often mean the difference between maintaining your current or losing a little bit of weight.
