If you want to increase the size of your arms and create a general overall physique that you can be proud of then there are several things that you need to do. Here are some simple tips to follow if you want to know how to get great biceps.

During your workout is why not consider using a slightly lower weight then you would usually use. Often when you use weights that are too heavy other muscles will pick up the slack. Instead, consider taking off a few kilos from the weight and you will usually find that your bicep specifically works harder as you lift.

Make sure that you pause between every repetition for about 15 seconds. This may be difficult to get used to a first and will slow down your workout but you will allow your bicep to get all of the necessary oxygen and rest it needs to be able to handle the pain and fatigue that is associated with muscle gain.

Ensure that you incorporate cardiovascular exercise into your workout. This is specifically important if you have plenty of body fat that you need to lose. This is going to be covering up your biceps and therefore it needs to be gotten rid of. If you can try to incorporate an exercise that works out your biceps at the same time, such as skipping.

Squeeze your bicep only get to the top of every lift on any type of exercise you’re doing. For example, if you were doing some bicep curls then when you got to the top you should squeeze your arm and hold in a position for several seconds before your next rep.

If you really want to see growth then it is also a good idea to target your biceps just once each week. Your muscles will require plenty of rest in order to rebuild and grow and therefore if you target your biceps too consistently this will result in negative consequences.
