Create Your Own Workout Program

When you would like to get ripped you have to be positive that your workout routine covers all of the bases. Compare it against the following ideas and if you want to plan your own muscle building routine, these ideas should point you in the right direction..

First, note down all the muscle groups that you will need to work. That is going to be just about all of the muscles in the body if you are just starting out. Don’t forget to incorporate some bicep workouts. Simply because you use your arms when exercising other muscles of the body doesn’t mean your biceps can be ignored.

Next you are going to want to choose an exercise that works each group. This will involve dumbbells, a barbell, or one of the gym machines such as the bench press. Some exercises will work out more than one muscle group.

Now you are prepared to plan your workout routine so that each muscle grouping is worked around 2 times a week with at least one full day of rest between. It is good to give yourself 2 days of complete rest from working out, too.

What if nothing looks to be working? First, consider whether you are giving your muscles enough rest. Bodybuilders who don’t get the results that they expect are usually guilty of overtraining. Remember that the muscles are broken down during your workout. The time your muscles build mass is during the their rest period.

2nd, look at other things such as your diet. Are you getting the correct quantity of protein and carbohydrates at the right times? Have you looked into possible training supplements that you may take?

Finally, bear in mind it’s sound practise to change your routine around from time to time. This counters any workout boredom that might otherwise set in and more importantly, works the muscles a little bit differently than what they might be used to. You can often find that changing out one ab exercise for another or employing a different press at the gymnasium will be the catalyst that you need to start gaining muscle mass again.
