Is Muscle Building Nutrition All That Important
Saturday, June 11th, 2011The foundation to building muscle is simply to strain them. To beef up and bulk up it is absolutely necessary to rest in between training sessions. By making up a schedule you will probably be more inclined to stick to it. The only way you will succeed is if you are consistent. Put which days you will be training on your schedule. And no, you don’t want to work out every day. The rest time is when the muscle actually grows, not when you’re working it. Be sure to give your muscles enough time to recover in between sessions.
Be sure to practice good form while you’re training. Good posture and stance is important. Execute the full range of motion for each exercise. Take it easy when you’re first starting out. It is way too easy to injure yourself. Begin with easy, manageable weights so you can focus on your form first. This will be really helpful as you add more weights later on.
When you maintain proper form through each rep it will help you build muscle. Work until you are exhausted. Cut back on the amount of weight you’re lifting or the amount of reps if you can no longer maintain proper form and control.
If your diet is based on junk food it will be very difficult to build muscle. Muscles need protein to repair and also to grow. Your diet should consist of good carbs, fiber, fats, and of course protein. To get protein in your diet eat lean meat, fish, eggs and nuts. Sugars and starches should be kept to a minimum. To maintain a proper balance in your diet the breakdown should be 40% natural carbs, 24% protein and the balance being fiber and fat.
By changing your exercise routines after a few weeks, you will maintain forward progress and it will keep things fresh. Increase the amount of reps or increase the amount of weight you’re using. With consistency, the rewards will be there for you.
